Kate McDonough is a London based cinematographer, who has been working with directors and artist film makers from across the world. Kate studied Fine Art Film at Central St Martins then progressed through the camera department until she became DOP. Her work has been shown in biennales, cinema's, galleries and museums across the world. 
Her camera is her primary sense in which to imbue and understand the world. 

Kate has had the privilege of working on some incredible film projects. As a female DOP she cares deeply about creating work that tells powerful stories that challenges the traditional narrative of the industry. She believes that cinematography is not just about capturing beautiful images but about conveying emotions, mood, and atmosphere that transports the audience into the story. Her passion for filmmaking is rooted in her ability to create a visual language that enhances the director's vision and brings the story to life. With a background in visual arts she specialises in crafting immersive film narratives that capture the essence of every project she works on. Whether it's a feature film, art film, music video, documentary, or commercial project, she approaches each one with vision, creativity, passion and commitment.
